Same Day Emergency Dental Care
Dental emergencies happen when you least expect them. Knowing what to do can help you reduce the severity of the problem. Here are some tips to keep in mind:
Knocked Out Teeth — Get to our office within the hour to see if the tooth can be re-implanted. In the meantime, keep it stored in a sealed container, completely submerged in milk or contact solution.
Broken Tooth — Depending on the severity of your chipped tooth, we may be able to bond the broken fragment back in place. If not, we can cover the area with a tooth-colored restoration. Store the broken piece like you would a knocked-out tooth.
Dental Crown Falling Off — We may be able to bond your crown back in place. Keep it stored safely in a zip-top bag and bring it to our office. Do not attempt to re-cement or glue your restoration back on.
Toothache or Swelling — Abscessed teeth may cause pain when you’re chewing, be sensitive to heat, or have visible drainage next to the tooth. If severe, it can be life threatening (due to swelling and spread of infection.) Contact us for a same-day exam to determine if you need a root canal.
